June Professional Development Series – Networking Workshop

YPN invites all Members to their next Professional Development Series Friday, June 8, featuring a unique ‘speed networking’ workshop to help young professionals practice and develop their networking skills.

The old adage ‘it’s not what you know it’s who you know’ becomes more prevalent every day. Although knowledge will ultimately allow you to achieve success in the long-run, you have to get your foot in the door first. Networking can be intimidating, but the pay-off is well worth the initial jitters to begin putting yourself out there and letting the world know what you have to offer.

The workshop takes place from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Naperville Bank and Trust, located at 5 S. Washington Street in downtown Naperville. The event is open to YPN Members and nonmembers.

Upon arrival, attendees will receive a card with different pictures and they will have to find a match for the card. Once everyone has found their match, each pair will have time to network one-on-one until time is called to find the match for the second picture.
