The Young Professionals of Naperville (YPN) will host a business leadership panel Feb. 10—a panel that will give Members the opportunity to learn business leadership skills from two prominent local business leaders.
The business leadership panel will be led by Becky Anderson of Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville and Dennise Vaughn, Vice President of Corporate Resources and Operations at Edward Hospital & Health Services in Naperville.
Becky Anderson is co-owner of Naperville’s long-standing Anderson’s Bookshop. She has been awarded many prestigious awards including; the Illinois State Board of Education’s Award of Excellence for community volunteerism (2006), The Education Center Community Partner Award (2008), and she was elected for a two-year term both as president for the Association of Booksellers for Children and the American Booksellers Association.
Anderson’s Bookshop has been a part of the Naperville community for over 40 years and boasts its own slew of awards including the Chamber’s Retail Business and Small Business of the year in 2010. In 2011, Anderson’s Bookshop was awarded Publisher’s Bookstore of the Year.
Ms. Vaughn holds a BS in Health Planning and Administration from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Ill. and an MBA from DePaul University, Chicago, Ill. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and in 1999, she was the Young Executive of the Year.
